High Country Competition Terms and Conditions
The promoter is Scoot Boot Pty Ltd, 111 Cahill Place, Acton Park, 7170, Tasmania, Australia (the Promoter). Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these official rules (the Official Rules).
Upon the placement of an order, for at least one (1) pair of Scoot Boots, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules. The winner will be selected via a random draw and notified via email & phone on Thursday March 15, 2018.
WHO MAY ENTER
The competition is open to entrants in the EU, USA, Canada, Australia, Scandinavia, UK & New Zealand who have reached 18 years of age at the time of entry. Only open to retail customers. Non-paying customers such sponsored riders, recipients of gift vouchers and all other complimentary orders are excluded.
HOW TO ENTER
Entry is made each time a purchase of a pair of Scoot Boots or Scoot Slims is made at our online store scootboots.com prior to the closing date of Wednesday 14th March 2018. Each pair of boots purchased will account for one (1) entry, therefore a purchase of one (1) x pair of boots will attract one (1) x entry, a purchase of two (2) x pairs of boots will account for two (2) entries, and so on. A confirmation of all entries for each order will be emailed to the entrant on confirmation of payment.
WHEN TO ENTER
This promotion commences 14th December 2017 at 12pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and ends 14th March 2018 12:00pm AEST (the Promotional Period).
NUMBER OF ENTRIES PERMITTED
There is no limit as to the amount of entries. Each purchase (i.e. the placement of an order) comprising at least one (1) pair of Scoot Boots will automatically enter the draw.
The winner will receive the following prize:
A return airfare (economy class), from an international airport to Melbourne Australia for the winner and one (1) travel companion. This includes an all expenses paid riding trek (for the winner and travel companion) in the Alpine Region in Victoria with High Country Horses for three (3) days and two (2) nights on a date to be agreed between the winner and the Promoter. (www.highcountryhorses.com.au) (the Prize).
All expenses and incidental travel costs, not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to: ground transportation; meals; incidentals; gratuities; passenger tariffs or duties; airline fees; surcharges; airport fees; service charges or facility charges; personal charges such as alcoholic beverages and internet usage; security fees; taxes or other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner and/or the travelling companion. The winner and travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary. The winner and travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for international travel.
If the winner is unavailable to travel on the dates the riding trek departs, then the prize will be forfeited and there will be a redraw of the remaining entrants.
In the event that the winner is ineligible, cannot be traced, or does not respond within ten (10) days to a winner notification, as required by the Official Rules, or refuses the Prize, the Prize will be deemed forfeited and Scoot Boot, in its sole discretion, will redraw the Prize amongst the remaining entrants.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering this Competition, all entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Promoter and its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in the Competition or any Competition-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of the Prize awarded.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorised access to the Competition entries.
The Promoter is not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrants or any other persons computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to the Competition.
If the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal or greater value. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and the Prize supplier’s requirements.
No compensation is payable if the Winner is unable to use the prize as set out herein.
Entrants agree that the Competition shall be subject to and governed by the laws of Australia and the forum for any dispute shall be in the Federal Court of Australia or a Court of competent jurisdiction. To the extent permitted by law, the right to litigate, to seek injunctive relief or to make any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or in connection with this Competition are hereby excluded and any entrant expressly waives any and all such rights. Certain restrictions may apply.
All federal, state/provincial/territorial, and local taxes, fees and surcharges and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, and including income, sales, and import taxes) on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner..
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity and originality of any entry and/or entrant (including an entrant's identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Official Rules or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
RIGHT TO CANCEL OR SUSPEND THE COMPETITION
The Competition may not be capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Competition. If this occurs the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition.
Should any of these events occur, the Promoter will endeavour to reschedule the Competition as soon as practicable.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the Winner to provide proof of identity, age, residency in order to claim the Prize, the absence of which, within a reasonable period of time, or refusal by the Winner provides the Promoter with discretion to forfeit the Prize.
The promoter reserves the right to re-judge in the event of the Entrant, claiming to be a winner, being unable to satisfy the terms of the Official Rules.

Entrants agree that personal data, especially name and address, may be used for the purposes and within the context of the Competition and any other purposes outlined in these Official Rules. The data may also be used by the Promoter in order to verify the entrant's identity, postal address, and telephone number or to otherwise verify the entrant's eligibility to participate in the Competition. Entrants have the right to access, review, rectify, or cancel any personal data held by Scoot Booty by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Personal data will be used by the Promoter and its affiliates exclusively for the purposes stated herein.
